Changes worth recording
Substantive changes to the library, examples and verification scope.
October 28, 2026 — the complete original collection
All 313 pages of the original collection are restored at their original addresses, section by section: string, validator, array, number, math, object, date-time, misc, function, random and dom. 235 run in the local lab with JSON input. The other 78 take callbacks, the DOM, timers or the runtime; their pages show usage whose lines marked → are executed in Node.js 22 or in headless Chromium against the markup on the page.
Review fixed and explained the bugs it found. Among them: isPowerOfTwo(0) returned true; a date validator accepted February 30; a JWT decoder replaced only the first - and _ of base64url; isFunction accepted a Promise; memoize recomputed falsy results; “run promises in sequence” received promises that were already running; random-sample helpers returned fewer items than requested; and two snippets assigned to undeclared variables, which throws in ES modules. Random values that act as secrets now come from the Web Crypto API.
With nothing left to restore, the 404 page no longer explains unrestored originals, and the build fails if an original page lacks a restored entry.
October 28, 2026 — second restoration batch and email references
Restored 12 of the most-captured lab-compatible pages of the original collection at their archived URLs, including a new /math/ section. Review corrected four historical implementations: a coercion-based digit check that accepted empty and blank strings, a lowercase-only URL scheme test, a seconds formatter that wrapped after 24 hours and a day difference that could drift with daylight saving.
Added three Oveyon-authored email references: classifying an SMTP reply (RFC 5321 classes, RFC 3463 enhanced codes) and building and parsing a DMARC record (RFC 7489).
October 28, 2026 — historical addresses restored
Five restored utilities were served under reconstructed categories. Internet Archive captures show their original addresses, so they now live there again: four under /validator/ and one under /misc/. Section indexes moved from /collections/ to the original /array/, /string/ and sibling addresses. Every restored page now records the archive capture that confirms its URL.
Addresses of the original collection that are not restored yet still return a real 404. That page now names the original utility, links its MIT source at the pinned commit and offers a search of this library.
October 28, 2026 — a new identity and two new tools
Introduced the Paper & Forest identity: a new mark (the numeral one and its cursor), display typography in IBM Plex, ink code panels, a home page built around a working Input → Code → Output example, and site-wide search in a keyboard-accessible dialog. Content, URLs and verification scopes are unchanged.
Added the webhook signature lab. It signs a published synthetic fixture with the browser’s Web Crypto using the documented x-oveyon-signature format, and shows why re-serialized, tampered or replayed deliveries fail. Unit tests prove its signatures equal node:crypto and are accepted by the delivery-webhook recipe’s receiver.
Added the one-line sheet: every curated utility as the exact code the lab runs, on one printable page, also published as a single Markdown file.
Added an email collection of six utilities written by Oveyon — domain extraction, masking for logs, normalization, Retry-After, backoff with full jitter and idempotency keys — with their own attribution, separate from the restored originals. Fixtures of several restored utilities now use synthetic email-integration data, such as batching recipients by five and grouping per-recipient delivery states; their functions are unchanged.
October 28, 2026 — first edition
Selected 24 utilities from 313 original source files. Preserved MIT attribution and commit-level provenance. Added explicit contracts, edge cases and a closed-registry local lab.
Added five backend starters: transactional send, durable order confirmation, pinned template, signed recipient delivery state and disposable-domain lookup. Mock mode works without an account; authenticated tests remain unexecuted.
Added a virtual delivery simulator, deterministic recipe builder, local search, per-page Markdown and downloadable agent context.
What is still outside this edition
Authenticated integration evidence, real-delivery experiments, Search Console/Bing property verification and production activation attribution remain separate work requiring the appropriate accounts and evidence.
Additional recipes, translations, n8n workflows and experimental WebMCP are considered only when usage justifies their maintenance. They are not exposed as inactive navigation controls.
