Runtime: JavaScript · Node.js 22 / modern browsers
Verification: Local fixtures; no external services

## Implementation

```javascript
function slugify(value) { return value.normalize('NFKD').replace(/[\u0300-\u036f]/g, '').toLowerCase().replace(/[^a-z0-9]+/g, '-').replace(/^-|-$/g, ''); }
```

## Input

```json
"Your order 8812 is out for delivery!"
```

## Expected output

```json
"your-order-8812-is-out-for-delivery"
```

## Edge case

Input:
```json
"Café déjà vu"
```
Output:
```json
"cafe-deja-vu"
```

## Limits

- This deliberately produces ASCII slugs. Many non-Latin scripts become empty.
- It does not guarantee uniqueness; preserve stable slugs separately from titles.

The lab validates types and size before calling this function. Add equivalent validation at your own trust boundary.
